Right. But he's 24, was like 11th on the depth chart, has been functionally passed by Nemec in terms of impact and production in the AHL, isnt big, and has never gotten a shot with the team. Pick any other defenseman in the org and he has a better chance of being on the NHL roster than Walsh haha

The Devils have shown they don’t really have a high opinion of him. There’s a better shot that they find a cheap vet in UFA or even as a PTO than Walsh making the team

Think NJ was basically forced to take him in the Meier trade. Probably puts him on waivers, and hopes he gets claimed.

Walsh is a home grown Dev pick. Went to Harvard. Came outta covid and didnt have a direction so he signed. I thought he'd go back to school for yr 4 and be a FA. Played well for Utica I believe but Nemec and then Casey make it tough to even consider him.

I hope Holtz is getting power skating lessons form Jacks mom! Having a great release is not good enough!
