Rangers just buyout Goodrow instead of retaining 50% on his AND paying to move the contract. The Goodrow buyout is actually like -600k or more for the first 2 years. So they actually gain cap space for the first 2 years. Also Goodrow at 1.8m would have a lot of team throwing themselves at New York to get him. Goodrow at 1.8m a year for 4 years could probably easily fetch a 1st.

I also severely dislike that Scheifele trade for the Leafs.

Canucks obviously decline. They aren’t just gonna give Garland away, especially with retention

It doesn't make sense to me, but supposedly Vancouver can't give away Garland or Boeser right now. Whether that holds up or not I'm not sure. Either could be solid contributors on the right team.

I would decline if I were the Pens. Timmins has no value and will probably be on waivers sooner rather than later for anyone to take a shot at.

Entire thing is dreadful but 2 1st Rd picks and Liljegren for a moody, zero accountability, bad in the room, poor defensive C that is soon to be a UFA does truly stand out.

Can't see the hawks using a retention slot for 4 years just to get another 2nd.

C'mon, man. Don't you know all other franchises exist solely to subsidize the Leafs? tears of joy
