Mayfield likely gets at least like 4 mil AAV, if he was gonna be that cheap he'd have already signed an extension with the islanders. Also Miles Wood stinks.

We can't afford to add more than $1 million in cap, let alone $7 million. We're in a worse cap bind than Boston.

LA needs to sign Vilardi, Kupari and Bjornfot even with conservative deals LA will have about $1.5M in cap space for a goalie. Fully expect LA to make runs on goalies with low cap hits or teams who will retain especially if we are moving Durzi who has a super cheap contract and will be an RFA.

Oilers won't take on the Forbort contract. Maybe if you sweeten the deal with prospects or picks, but I doubt that it would be worth it for BOS.

RD only for the Oilers. Please & Thanks

Kind of obvious if one looked at their roster I think

But, somehow 4 year in a row playoff team the Edmonton Oilers are still thought of as a dumping ground, lol

I doubt this works and don’t believe that LA or Boston would be super interested in the defensemanswap. It’s a financial instrument

To Boston: Arvidssen, Durzi, and Pinelli
To LA: Ullmark, Gryz, and a 4th round pick

It does balance out team weaknesses better. I’m not big on Durzi and my guess is LA values him. Statistically, Gryz is a good starter. My assumption is Boston would likely need to retain some money to balance it out (more would be coming into LA, but atleast a gap of 2million should exist).

I think there is a deal there. I’m not sure it involves these guys without over complicating value

If im Sweeney i take that LAK trade in a heartbeat and run, but the financial transaction wouldnt work for LA. BOS needs to take cap back for it to work (or retain on Ullmark), especially if theyre dumping off almost 9 mill to the Kings
