Any trade for 2 would have to be ridiculous unless the Ducks actually want Michkov and think they can get him at 5 (this trade value is gonna reflect a bit of this as that is the only way i can see the Ducks trading that pick)
Trades
MTL
  1. Comtois, Maxime [RFA Rights]
  2. 2023 1st round pick (ANA)
Additional Details:
french guy goes brrrr
ANA
  1. Anderson, Josh
  2. Harris, Jordan
  3. 2023 1st round pick (FLA)
  4. 2023 1st round pick (MTL)
  5. 2023 2nd round pick (MTL)
  6. 2023 3rd round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
Harris or Xhekaj, whichever the ducks find better

Anderson can be left out but it looks like they could use a winger. Only real value replacement would be Mesar or Kidney

Is it because the value is off or because you hate any trade a Habs fan makes

Seems to be the latter

I'm a Habs fan and I would refuse that trade if I was a Ducks fan lol

Probably youth over anderson, I’m sure that’s the going rate for such a move, not sure a rookie gm ready for that gamble of letting a franchise Center out the door and open up uncertainty of who is going to be there at 5. That’s a lot of draft capital though.

But would the gm refuse it if they are set on drafting Michkov and know he'll be there at 5

2nd overall starts with Suzuki and both 1st rounders, even then I’m not doing that as Anaheim

Similar to the other Habs thread moving up, there's just no logical reason for the Ducks to trade down. I've said it before-Michkov looks like he can be great, but there's wayyyy too much uncertainty to take him at 2OA, especially when the gap between he and Fantilli is presumably so small.

Again-Love the idea of adding some more draft capital, but the Ducks are at a point where taking the sure-est thing makes 1000 times more sense than trading back. A team who trades someone who has the potential to be a franchise center, only to get back a bunch of lotto tickets is just asking for trouble.

I guess I don't see why they'd be set on Michkov? Absolutely believe he can be a star some day, but there's no way he slides. The Athletic (as usual) is hunting for clicks now that we're starting the offseason, and they know the markets that they can get them from right now. I'm assuming we'll see a few hundred thehockeywriters.com "Breaking!!!! Inside info has The Habs (or Leafs?) closing in on a deal for THIS surprising superstar...click to find out more!" blog posts between now the draft.

Kind of interesting, Anaheim drafts fantilli with this offer on the table and michkov is there at 5, I wonder if it takes a trade up from 31 to the teens somewhere to get it done.

That value is awful.
Comtois > Harris
Anderson is on a terrible contract and is incredibly overrated
1.02 > 1.05 and 1.31
2nd and 3rd don’t account for those two downgrades
