The Jets have no need for Bryson, would rather keep Stanley then trade him for a little dman we have zero need for, you can send Bryson to Rochester for some cap savings cause that's likely where he's headed anyway.

Pens accept. I think Lyubushkin would be a perfect partner for POJ. Someone that can shut it down defensively to allow him to flourish offensively.

Yeah, that's what I thought last year, he could play on the second pair with power. It ain't so. He's fine on our third pair, plus he brings a physical presence that we are bleeding for. I would rather aim higher than petry but it's fine. The problem I see is that you are adding petrys contract plus the retention on Lyubushkin, which likely doesn't fly. I do like the stockpiling of right shot d though. Getting a real taste for how difficult they are to get, seems like high end center and right d are positions where it's never gonna hurt to have a few extra laying around. Love the strbak idea, it's gonna take some real luck for the others to be available where we pick.

      Thanks for the support.
Actually some of the RHD dropping into the Sabres lap is not that unreasonable.

Only Bonk and McCarthy are most likely not to fall far enough for the Sabres to take them.
But 13th Reinbacher, 28th Tom Willander and 45th OA Maxim Strbak could all be available.

It could be an interesting Draft day.

EDIT: As you probably know Vanek is Reinbacher's hero and McCarthy is a local hockey player.
They would certainly fit the profile of wanting to play for Buffalo.
Chychrun and Iafallo are free agents after the '25 season maybe they would WANT to sign with Buffalo.

So did you just add the Flyers on here to explain why Buffalo wasn't going to trade for Hart?

I mean I agree with you Buffalo has more important pieces to fix and should be stable with UPL and Levi, but adding this "who is who?" Stat comparison just comes off as pompous.

As a flyer fan and a contributor to cap friendly, you must have noticed that over the past several weeks there are daily posts by flyer fans who think Buffalo should exchange 2023 1st for Hart to "UPGRADE" the Sabre GK position.
Some of the fans think not one but two first round picks are appropriate.
To cite longitudinal statistics comparing two GK is hardly pompous, but rather emphasizing the fact that Hart is not significantly better than Luukkonen.

Yeah that's fair. I guess I just saw the "who is who?" part as more of a jab than an exampe, but that's just me. Reason for this 2 1sts thing is because Briere doesn't plan on moving him unless its a huge overpay, but instead of informing people, others will just state that its his true worth rather then a set starting price that will decrease if they truly want to move him.

As stated I believe Buffalo has bigger needs then goaltending, and that 1st rounder can help fix a problem or two in the near future.

Edit: my reasoning for stat comparison should have been worded a lot better. I meant to say I interpreted the use of "who is who?" as a passive aggressive way to insult people rather than educate. That's my fault if you took it as me saying that stat comparison is inherently pompous.

      Thanks for your comment.
Upon reflection I get it, "who is who" does seem rather sarcastic.
I need to tone down my comments and be less emotional and more factual with my posts.
