Seattle would quickly accept. Dump a nothing player like Geekie to move up and have a shot at a stud like Matthew Wood? In a heartbeat. You’d be fired as Pens manager for that one, lol.

Edit: Why would Jarry agree to a sign and trade with LA for that amount rather than just go to free agency? A sign and trade works if you’re going to overpay, like Severson. Jarry’s going to figure he could get that much on the market and just go UFA. He declines.

Definitely creative but overall feels like what your giving up here doesn’t move the needle much.

Arvidsson is risky player to target and that’s a lot to give up.

Would love the Pens to get Roy but don’t think Legare is even close to enough.

Could build a similar team through FA while keeping much more of your long term assets.

That trade is not as much of a slam dunk acceptance from Seattle as you think. Geekie's not a nothing player, he's a young right handed shot center who contributes on both ends and is good in the faceoff circle. He's made constant improvements since arriving in Seattle, and if the Kraken's forward core wasn't so deep would be playing higher in the lineup. I think this trade actually undervalues him a bit, equating his value to a mid-third round pick. Personally I think his trade value is at least a second rounder. Ultimately, any draft trade and whether Seattle or Pittsburgh pulls the trigger will depend on who's on the board at 14, something we won't know until draft day.

Agree to disagree about Geekie. His skating and d-zone coverage are mediocre at best. I have no interest in that player and would decline the deal for the Pens.

I know I'm probably sounding like a broken record on all these ACGMs but pass on the ARI trade lol. Vejmelka isn't even better than Desmith.

Good skaters though obviously - just putting a ton of risk in that goaltending duo

Not bad. Think we overpaid a little on the LA trade, but I do like the idea of getting Arvidsson a lot. Actually think we might after Dubas see's how bad our finishing was last year haha. Maybe change the 1st to a 2nd and take out the 2nd on LA's side. Then I'd use that 1st to get a good puck moving D. Overall though think this has a lot of good ideas.
