Description

One option could be to Buffalo for the 13th overall pick. Obviously the pick would be the main piece, along with Jokiharju to replace some depth on the right side. Maybe a good, not great prospect could be added like Poltapov (correct me if i'm misjudging his value). If we decided we were happy with 13th, personally i think Colby Barlow would be a good pick. BUT, hear me out, David Reinbacher is ranked around 8-10. If he's still available around that time, I'd do everything i can to trade up with WSH/STL/DET ect. He could be the perfect Pesce replacement in a few years time. Leaving the draft with him would be a robbery.

If the 13th overall pick isn't in play, then i could see them pivoting to a package including their 2024 1st and one of their recent first round picks in Noah Ostlund or Isak Rosen, but 13th overall would be prefered.

Yeah I cant see BUF moving 13th overall, for many of the same reasons you outlined

Edit: I could see them giving up a 24 1st with conditions, but unless theres some sort of favourable extension agreed before hand, I highly doubt they move 2 valuable assets for a 1 year rental.

I think 13 could be on the table, for example, swap 1st. Adams kick tires how to move up or down in the draft.

#13+ for Pesce + #30

We have good scouts and analysts, and Adams picked players like Peterka and Kulich in the second and at late first. Plus, he's not afraid to take on Russian players who fall in the draft.

I believe if the Canes ultimately end up trading Pesce, it will be in a swap for a top-6 big fish, not a package. Just my take.
