Imo Flames accept

If the Flames go into full sell off and rebuild mode I could see that being accepted, but I'd expect with a new coach etc they'll try and keep it all together for at least this season and go for it, and maybe sell off at the TDL if it's a fail.

I would suggest selling Peeke this summer personally and run Blankenberg. It's also probably a safe bet that Bean is not a long term option on the team either.

As for your contracts, I don't think Marchenko has done remotely enough to earn that kind of deal, if anything Johnson is more likely to get something like that

I think CBJ are going to try and get Lindholm after hearing that the deal with Hayes is now less likely to happen. HOWEVER, I think that Boqvist isn't going to be traded this off season. Jiricek is not ready yet and Boqvist is a good player if he can stay healthy. I think if you take Boqvist out of that trade, CBJ accept. Calgary also do not need RD. I hope Jarmo can pull it off. I think he fits the team perfectly and already has a great chemistry with Johnny. Peeke and Bean def need to go though. We have RD already so Peeke is redundant and I honestly like Svozil so Bean becomes obsolete. Cut both of those players and we sign Lindholm long term to be 1C for the next 2-3 years and then hopefully Carlsson after. Its a perfect fit

Definitely agree on the KJ vs. Marchenko point, but Marchenko is several years older and coming from the KHL. There is the element of "he's earned a payday now rather than after a bridge" to his next contract that you can't really argue for Johnson. A bridge for KJ is more likely, but probably also closer to 5 than what this shows.

I'm perfectly fine with the return above for Lindholm. I have no issue with including Boqvist. Also no issue with an even higher cost than that provided that the obvious 3OA/KJ/Jiricek are not included. There's no way both Boqvist and Peeke are here next season, possibly even both are gone. The element of risk is still undeniable since Lindholm can't be extended til the first of July. If they trade for Lindholm and he won't extend with Columbus, that's a massive failure. I trust them to do their due dilligence, much like they did with Severson, but I can't just ignore the risk. That's what makes me hesitate on the deal more than anything.

We'll see what happens. A trade would have to go down in the next two weeks so it gets done before the draft. I definitely think Jarmo has been asking and Lindholm has been asked if he's resigning or not. Going to be another crazy off season
