For one year of Helle, the Kings give up two high value young players, a prospect and they would be screwed if anyone gets injured.

Or the Kings could move Arvidsson for value rather than moving young players out and take a run at guys who have actually played in our division like Hill or Andersen.

Not giving up Vilardi and that for a rental. Not even enough cap for a full 23 man roster.

A 20-man roster is exactly why this idea is hopelessly unrealistic.

Arvidsson, Iafallo and Turcotte for Hellebuyck with 50% retention is realistic.

Even then, this is a LOT to pay for a multi-year nominated Vezina Goalie who singlehandedly wins most of the games the Jets win. Take out the pick and deal.

Where are the Kings getting the money to give him the likely pay raise he wants on his next contract? Kopitar isn’t a viable excuse given who else the Kings have to extend next offseason.

That's a different issue. WPG and Helly are working together to find him a LT fit. So, if LAK doesn't have the room to keep him for years and he's only going to be a rental, then WPG won't make that deal.

If LAK want him long term, then make the trade like above and then add some CAP dump player or whatever to free up some $$$$$$$$$$$ for Helly.

Does LA have any cap dump players they can dump on WPG?
