Description
JVR is insurance in case Fabbri doesn't return to form from his knee injury. He also provides quality competition and depth with inevitable injuries happen.

A Buyout of Parayko in 4-5 years wouldn't be terrible. But I could also see him being a serviceable trade for the inevitable tanking team that needs to meet the cap floor.

If we could make it work without retention that would be awesome. I’d also say Faulk instead of Parayko since Seider plays more of the shutdown role and Faulk could lead a PP unit.

You did see the contract Damon Severson just got right?

And you're still convinced Parayko is a cap dump?

Yes I did, and I don't think it helps the Blues, it's now one less team that is in need of an RHD and has the cap space to take on Parako's contract. If the Blues can get more for him I would be happy for them. But IMO Blues are in a tough spot, Parako has a no-trade clause with seven years left on his contract and is 30 years old. I also think moving up in this year's draft is extremely valuable.

Odds are the Wings and Blues are likely to do some more business this offseason....might be worth considering it as an extension of the Vrana deal.

Are you just under the impression the Blues are desperate to move Parayko?

Also I’d like to ask if that was a guy like Adam Pelech and the Red Wings needed a LHD instead of a RHD how would you think of that offer?

The Vrana deal was done for Vrana after everything joe went through a new team and a fresh start is what he needed.

McIsaac id some where between an occasional 3rd pair NHL dman and a good AHL dman. So unless he is s******* gold bricks he doesn't have a lot of trade value. So STL moves from the end to the middle of the 1st round and that costs Parayko. His production did slip a bit last season but he averaged 23 minutes a game, threw 110 hits, blocked 144 shots and had more takeaways than giveaways. Even if you let them keep Toronto's 1st it still doesn't get it done.

Tampa Bay declines. They'll get far better offers for Colton if they are forced to move him.

I just went with the cost of an offer sheet, plus a year earlier, with a sweetener.

Many many teams beat that offer should he becomes available (God I hope he doesn't) TB doesn't value picks like yourself and most on here do so that second is pretty worthless. That kid isn't NHL ready so, there is absolutely nothing TB would really want in return.
