Avs are a strong maybe. Basically giving the Avs Roslovic is very nice thank you, just depends if they think he's ready to be their 2C.

It's a maybe from the Avs, though even with the 2nd coming back I think they'll be hard pressed to give up that '23 1st, late or not. I would think you'd be better keeping Roslovic and not trading for Dvorak though if you sign ROR. Seems a downgrade to Dvorak and more cap spent imo even if he has an extra year. Probably better to see how CBJ go on with Roslovic and then move him at the TDL if they're out of the picture.

Considering we’re only moving down 7 spots for Roslovic, I’d probably say yes, but I agree with your hesitation.

Would all depend on what hidden gems there might be 7 spots down vs a maybe future 2C if say Stenberg was available at the Avs spot. Stramel or Stenberg and possibly Moelgaard could all be anywhere in that area. It's a gamble. None are likely going to be ready for a couple of years at the earliest, but possibly best case scenario is a 2-3 year stop gap 2C in a trade without giving up that '23 1st and try to bag a C to develop to have an option in case Newhook never makes it. ROR in FA (doubtful would want overpaying), Toews or Monahan (Ugh!) or a trade for someone like Kuzy (maybe make VN happier and thus his wife possibly too if what I think has happened there is correct) or Hayes, that won't necessarily cost the '23 1st.

If you took Forbort and Reilly, Boston might consider.

No point in trading Roslovic to move up 7 spots and then trading Bemstrom and two 3rds for Dvorak. Roslovic is better than Dvorak and cheaper.

Crash & burn next year trying to resign:
Marchenko, Johnson, Texier, Sillinger and Chinakov.

If you're going to send the Bruins cap dumps (which they can't afford to take on), then you will need to take their cap dumps in return.

None of these are good for the jackets.

I do like the RoR signing though, maybe he'd take a 3 or 4 year where you front load the heck out of the first 2 years.
