For Konecny on here most Detroit and Philly fans have agreed upon the truce of TK for the 17th overall, a 2023 2nd, and Filip Zadina. Don't know enough about Kubalik to say if that would be better or worse.

I would be hyped for a Kyle Connor trade.

Would like them to make both picks and even add in another 1st rounder if possible (such as how you have, or by trading up with 2 seconds. There are a lot of guys in the top 25 or so that I like a lot - but that said, will be some good players left for us from 41-43. Could be happy with a trade up if its for the right player, i.e. Michkov, but wouldn't want to push it. Only happy to trade away one of our firsts if Yzerman is able to fleece someone (i.e. Cat for 17th oa and nothing more). Preference for draftees is right handed shooters - Leonard, Reinbacher, Willander, Danielson, Yager. Followed by power forwards such as Honzek and Barlow. I also like Moore and Dvorsky but don't love them at 9. Followed lastly with some high skill guys that we could go with at 17 such as Cristall, Stenberg, Perreault.

I would love to see a trade up for Michkov personally. It's hard to nail what deal would get him for us. Maybe Montreal 5 and 31 for 9 and 17?

Team is probably going to run him out there a couple more years lessen his value and sell lower when he threatens to walk when he hits ufa status. Jets probably a couple years of bubbles then a whole sale rebuild, they won’t rebuild now on the premise the fanbase won’t accept a rebuild. Super-annoying but it is what it is

Probably need 9 in it, then possibly some projects and then some cap. Basically something that’s going to hurt, a few things that you can get over, and something that you would personally drive to the airport. If jets selling probably not overly caring about cap or term coming back, well less than 3 years anyway.

Honestly Michkov or Connor are the only 2 players I see Detroit moving the 9th pick for.

Personally I jump, send some change of scenery for him and some cap, let Chevy be able to hype it as a win. Probably not going to happen though, Chevy has a full plate with helly/Dubois/and scheifele to find new homes.

I'm not sure that would work, Chevy is pretty shrewd.

I’ve lost faith in Chevy, there’s some sort of roadblock between moose and jets, and one could argue a rather coldspell on draft day from laine to lambert possibly. Just think the squad needs some Reno’s in the front office, start by walking Chipman back into his ownership box, signing up a president to be a buffer, and president bringing in his own gm and resetting the organization. The team needs to realize they are the smallest rink and market in the league, going to have to do it differently than everybody else to win the very last game of the year. Got to out draft and out develop the rest of the league, so your going to have to sell high sometimes to reset the deck and give your scouts some advantages. But we will see, could be one wild off-season.

My draft board I would like Leanord or Reinbacher if available. If they are both gone then I would say Moore or Benson. Wouldn't mind Dvorsky either.
For 17 I would like Willander, Barlow or Perrault.
Would be nice if someone like Honzek was available in the late first round to grab.
I'm hoping we grab another RHD and a goalie with our seconds as well. With only having Cossa in the system puts all of our eggs in one basket. Plus they take so long to develop.

Kubalik is older, but he is unquestionably a better player than Zadina. 20 goal 45 points last season. He's 27 though. I see him as having more value in a DeBrincat deal since they want more win now type pieces instead of future pieces. Though Zadina may never be what we hoped he still may have more value to the Flyers just by virtue of only being 23
