Description

Elliotte Friedman and other insiders reported this week that because of Bratt and hopefully Meier's extensions that Sharangovich could be on the market. I don't want NJ to trade Sharangovich because he can play anywhere in the lineup, but if there's a good deal that Fitzgerald can't pass up, you take it. Plus, what would Yegor want contract wise? He had a down year and would NJ just do a 1 year deal and qualify him? Let me know what you guys think regarding Sharangovich and if he stays, if he goes and we give him an extension.

Believe it or not, the last thing Ottawa needs to add is defencemen. Their Top 4 is locked in and then they have Branny as our #5 and Kleven, JBD, Thomson all fighting for a spot on the 3rd pairing, plus they will probably bring Hamonic back for cheap to play with Branny which I'm fine with.

Not sure Graves' rights will land you a pick but I mean it's worth a shot

Yegor to the Avs makes a lot of sense, but I'm not sure about giving up a first for him. I just did one where the Avs send a 2nd and Beaucage to NJ. I think that's more in line with what Colorado would pay. Or something around Olausson (him and a 3rd maybe).

Does he get a pass for having a down year? The year before he had 24 goals and 46 points. He can play with Jack Hughes, it's just Bratt was mostly with Jack last year. Then the other winger was usually Mercer or Haula with Jack.

I would be inclined to give up the 2023 first in this matter, however i would want something more than that 4th back. How about:

To Jersey:
Colorados first round pick 2023 (27OA)
Alex Beaucage

To Colorado:
Yegor Sharangovich
Jerseys second round pick 2023 (58OA)

Then Colorado could use that pick to pursue another RFA; e.g. Trent Fredric to bolster the depth with youth.
