Which is why the Avs won't be doing it. They don't have centre depth as it is. The Avs won't be trading Newhook unless as a) part of a trade for a genuine here and now 2C, or b) because they've acquired one in another way. Likelihood is if they've acquired a 2C then they won't have cap for Konecny. He'll also get a big enough role and enough ice time in Colorado when he proves he's ready for the responsibility.

The Avs leadership group was rumoured to have blocked Domi being signed in the past so I think it's unlikely he signs with the Avs. You've also probably lost Toews as you can't affford to re-sign him as well as trading Girard away and you have to bring Landy back the following year.
