Terrible trade for Flames for one year of Nylander. Too much to give up for the Parayko and his six remaining years. Leafs shouldn't be trading all their right side Dmen....Brodie, Liljegren, Timmins and Niemela

But Nylander isn't a perennial star for the Flames. He's on year away from being a UFA.

First I will say the Blues might be up to take Timmins for a 4th. We could do that. However, both Calgary and the St. Louis look at you like this for those offers...

A #3 defenseman? tears of joy There are maybe 30 defensemen in the entire league better than Hanifin.

Mangiapane scored at 8% below his career average this season and is an excellent 2-way winger. If he shot his average he would uave had around 31 goals this year, which is 14 more points for a total of 57 points without PP1 time. Thats completely ignoring the fact you want retention too
