Detroit deal: Meh. I think they'll probably get 2 firsts (either a pick and a recent 1st rounder or 2 firsts, one protected)
Pittsburgh deal: Not bad, but they wouldn't have any interest in Blomqvist. The net is filled already. Maybe swap for Ty Smith.
St. Louis deal: yeah probably fine.
Buffalo deal: sure.

I would expect Lindholm to get more, but I would take it. Not sure Calgary would settle for that unless forced.

The Blues have top 6 wingers falling out of their ears, current and impending future. Meanwhile, they have other pressing needs that require urgent, probably expensive attention. On top of all that, if they wanted to spend this much on a winger they can't really afford, there are several out there far more tempting than 31-year-old UFA Toffoli. Like six popped to mind off the top of my head just now.

So yeah, I'm keeping those two picks over Toffoli every day of the week, until the end of time.

You can’t contend and build a prospect pool. It’s one or the other and Dubas isn’t there to rebuild.

Value is fine but if I’m Detroit I pass. Only because I not the biggest Lindholm fan. Yeah he had 42 in 21/22 but outside of that season he’s never scored 30. If they traded for him I wouldn’t be upset(he’s a great facilitator and would definitely help) but we need more consistent scorers. He’s a good plan C, D, or E.
