No one is undervaluing guys like Berggren. But to say that you wouldn’t move Berggren for example after making like 10+ guys already untouchable is pretty wild.

Guys aren't untouchable but it has to make sense to move them for the right piece. How often did Ottawa trade good young pieces for better but older players 3-4 years ago? Other than Matt Murray I can't think of one. Ottawa is further along than Detroit so the last couple years trading for guys like Debrincat and Chychrun made sense cause there was the hope that they would help push them over the top. We aren't close to the top yet, we are only mid way. We don't have the pieces in place to give to what we have extra for help now.
