The only way you're getting PLD to agree to a contract with a ~6M cap hit is on his qualifying offer for 1 year.

Cap is needed, too much discrepancies between have and have-nots in the league, owners egos or gm job windows also a factor

I'm not a fan of trading Iafallo to overpay aging 4th liners. I'd rather run with kids on ELCs and keep Iafallo around.
