I'd be happy as long as the cost isn't too prohibitive. Gives Bedard a linemate and Hall is someone that with 50% retained will easily get a 1st at the deadline.

I was just going to say the same thing, a 10 team no trade might slow this down.

Bet he'd waive with an agreement from chicago that he gets the "domi treatment" and gets moved to a contender at the deadline after helping bedard acclimate to the NHL

Who knows who's on his 16 team list from almost a year ago.

Hall has already been traded with 50% rentention at the deadline, 3 years ago, when he was better, for a 2nd.

AND 5 years ago he was traded for a major...Hall... get it? He had a full NMC clause for that 2nd rounder trade. We'll see.

You may want to double check your information regarding that trade protection.

The next season hasn't technically started yet. It's why all this JT Miller chatter keeps going around.

for new protection yes that is true. generally new lists for the next season are sent in early and generally followed for trades.

It's entirely possible that Hall's already sent his new and reduced list. IDK. I'm not in those convos, but since the list is reducing...I just don't know I guess. We'll see! Cheers!

Not that EF is official, but he's updated his twitter saying it's going to be Hall and they're just working on the details. This was surprisingly quick...normally this stuff takes FOREVER.

I'd be fine with both of these players as long as the cost isn't too much. Maybe Hawks 3rd (#67) and a guy like Entwistle or Blackwell?

That's the question now. I have no clue what's being given up.

DD is saying Foligno is also in the deal...who knows???

Glad I could jinx it. Allegedly its Hall and Foligno for Regula and Mitchell.

Yup! I'm happy you jinxed it too! Oh wow, didn't hear about Regula/Mitchell. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm good with this! Hope Kyle gives Foligno a new deal and doesn't just let him walk.

I think its fine either way. If Foligno wants to stay and be a leader, that would be sick. If not, there are plenty of guys in FA to fit that role. If he walks, its not really a dealbreaker. The way I see it, this trade is moreso geared toward pleasing management. For the next two years Taylor Hall will bring excitement, jersey sales, and some packed houses back to the UC without drastically improving the roster and putting us too far out of contention for another top 5 pick.
