DeAngelo 50% for an un-signed prospect like Bokk is a real report. Gunler, 2023 #37 and next year's 1st from a team that didn't even make the playoffs this year seems pretty reasonable to me for Konecny. A big name is going to slip to early 2nd round. They always do, especially in a draft like this.

Not enough for Pesce. Olofsson is AWFUL. It's got to be 13 OA + Joki to start. This isn't close

Its definitely reasonable and fair but I just dont think we're moving TK unless its an offer that really really makes Briere think

I'm not sure I agree that you get a return like that for a pending UFA, despite how good Pesce is. You just don't see deals like that these days. Maybe you could get BUF to sweeten it a bit, but I think it's pretty reasonable. Olofsson does kinda suck but the one thing he is good at is finishing which you guys could use. Keep him low minutes on the 4th line and PP specialism and I feel like he's a good fit at 50% retention.

Olofsson is a cap dump, even half retained. He's got 0 to negative value.

Pesce is a top 10 RHD in the NHL, he's one of the best DFD in the league. He's also not going to be a pending UFA if he gets dealt. The issue isn't the cap hit, Carolina just don't want to commit to the term he wants. At worst, he's making... what 6.5? That's the Pulock comparable. He's well worth it. You can easily demand 13th overall + a replacement RD for Pesce, that's just the long and short of it. Otherwise, you just retain him

Demand and get are 2 different things, highly doubt you will get a top 15 pick for a pending FA. And Olofsson would have been like 5th on your team in points. 2.375mill for 25 goals and 40 or 50pts isn't to bad.

Olofsson would sit in the press box because he's a f**king turnstile. Carolina is built on defensive structure. It's exactly why Pesce is so valuable. DFD like him do not grow on trees. If you're not getting a top 15 pick back, keep him. This garbage is not enough for a top 10 RD. It's just not.

Olofsson isn’t a match for us and would become an expensive bench piece. Even at 2.3 million he is a negatively rated player. Pass on that deal. I don’t have much interest in overpaying to acquire Konency either.

Guess we shall see, this isn't my AGM. Olofsson might not be a fit there, but he scored more goals than 3/4 of your team. Maybe a prospect should be added, but a High 2nd and a 1st looks pretty close to me.

I don't think this is as terrible as some others on here. But the deals have to all happen, they don't work independently.

I think the bidding for Pesce will be pretty heated, so I think Buff will have to throw in Joki as well, and it is a bit of an overpay for Konecny

But this is closer than other Canes fans are saying

If it's not this years first, then something like Peterka needs to be involved. That's the kind of deal we're talking about here. Look at what Provorov just went for. Pesce is MILES better, yes he's older and has a year less, but he's way better, and has a much more favorable deal. Knowing Pesce is going to sign almost immediately wherever he ends up, especially in New York since he's from Tarrytown, he should return a HELL of a lot more

I was thinking more Ostlund, Philadelphia's 2nd(39) and 2024 1st

I blocked Caniac some time back because he is unreasonable.
Provorov returned:
Cal Petersen · $5,000,000
Sean Walker · $2,650,000
Helge Grans · $0 (AHL/JR)
2024 2nd round pick (LAK)
2023 1st round pick (LAK - #22)
2024 2nd round pick (CBJ)
But the first was most likely to take Petersen salary for two years.
A couple of RHD and two second next year.

It is a matter of opinion if Pesce is MILES better than Provonov.
Next years first and Olofsson are the only assets I would give up for a player who could walk at the end of the year.
The Blue Jackets will have two years of Provonov.
