I don’t see much reason for the Hawks to make that deal. I’m pretty confident after getting back to playing top line minutes with Bedard, Hall at 50% will be worth something comparable to that on his own.

There is zero value in this trade for Chicago. Hall, $6,000,000 in retention and a 3 this year and move up 17 picks in Ottawa's 2nd to Colorado's 1st. I'm restarting to move up from 44 to 27 In this years draft costs Chicago Hall,$6,000,000 in retention and pick 93 this year . Do you think Kyle Davidson is a complete moron ? He'd have to be to do this trade.

Why would CHI do that?

It's not crazy to think Hall would rather play for a contender. I think Jeremy Jacobs (NHL Overlord) politely convinced him to waive for CHI and commit to mentoring Bedard for at least one season. I see this trade happening sometime next season.
