Canucks won’t be retaining 50% on Boeser. They also won’t be retaining 50% on Myers and taking back cap dump Hoffman

This is just so laughably bad for Vancouver what the actual puck...

We retain 50% on 2 players, we take a horrible contract and give up garland to move up 3 spots? No thanks big pass.

McMichael and Protas are also in the deal. Vancouver will be bad in a top heavy division. It wouldn't hurt to be just take on bad cap this year and then have Boeser on the books for another.

Not really a good deal for Vancouver, given how much dead cap we would have.

So the Caps are taking on basically three Cap Dumps and trading their future to move up three spots. Yeah that’s going to be a **** No.

For Matvei, they would have to. Boeser at 75% retained is a steal, Garland is on a good deal, and Meyers 75% retained is good value for a bottom pair. The Caps are still looking to win.

Nobody wants Myers for anything and all reports are the Canucks are absolutely struggling to trade either Boeser or Garland. There is absolutely ZERO chance this is anywhere near the cost to move up three spots. Completely delusional.

It's not the three spots that is important but the player pick at #5. Michkov could be the best addition he's doing to help Ovechkin get is record before he retired. Also who is better to bring Michkov in NHL territory then the best friend of Poutine mister Oveckhin himself.

The Caps aren’t trading all their prospects and taking three Cap Dumps to move up three spots for ANYBODY. No trade like that has ever happened in NHL history. It’s worse than the Lindros trade and Michkov is not Lindros.
