Draft starts in 3 hours, the idea that it's way too early to start drinking is ridiculous, it's called pre-gaming

laugh Detroit isn't giving up 3 1st round picks, I doubt they'd take Michkov at #5 probably Will Smith if he falls to 5 or Ryan Leonard. And oh FYI William Wallinder has played his entire career at RD thoughts he's a LHS he's played nothing but RD which is his preferred spot.

Even im wondering whats going on here.
Next years unslotted picks have a different value then this years Slotted picks.
You could be asking them to give up lotto picks unprotected(and are)
I dont like it as Hughes already said he's open to Trading Down but not open to trading the pick away.
That includes future picks as his build timeline is very specific hence us trading slotted picks for Dach and Newhook in the last 12 months

thats what a bidding war is though lmao
a generational winger in a bad spot on his draft year, if he was a canadian he'd be number 2.

If Smiths gone and you're saying Leonard >Michkov then i question your grasp on evaluating talent this young (the pro's consensus is clear they're not equals)
Besides Federov is about the biggest connect you can have in the KHL winning the Gagarin Cup after being down 3-1 in the Final as a First year Coach after years as a GM.(followed it up by winning it again)
He'd make sure the kid got over to DET for Stevie Y as he's the big swing D over in Russia.

My point is they didnt call Hughes about the pricetag on the 5th OA because they want Leonard

          Rights on Russians are Indeffinate
If we can pick him we will
Can always trade his rights away for as much if not more
If he joins his assigned team next year and isnt relegated to a lesser to so their league could remain competitive (many players wont go there so they're using even Russian Junior players a lot )
But if he joins SKA Pettersberg then he could be a champion sooner then later

We dont need to trade him
We'd just rather get it done with and pick a player we actually plan on using .
For us Reinbacher, Benson or Leonard with the 7th OA pick after a PHI deal would be ideal
But we are rebuilding we can wait for our payoff to come later
