Don’t be a moron. We would want players in positions of need. Goaltending and RHD. You don’t trade a franchise cornerstone and fan favorite for things you don’t need.

Hard to say, that obviously makes the price go up considering we only have 2 retention spots left, 1 is for Karlsson so that means no retention spots for 2 years when Burns’ deal is up.

Boston doesn't have a lot of space and I don't see them using it on Jack, more than reasonable value, though.

They are tearing it down to the studs. It was more of a question, Would you rather retain 1.5 million and get another first plus or trade him at full cost. I’m not saying half or something crazy like that but shaving a small amount off the top could brung in a much better return. Even if extremely unlikely.

I do not see them retaining for 5 years on anyone. I don't see them trading Hertl either.
