Make the pick a 1st for Pesce and the Canes consider, as is, easy pass

Hawks decline. There's no spot in the lineup for Olafsson anymore. Not that Hawks would give up a 2nd for him anyway.

Guess that 2023 1st came and past. That's a solid offer for Pesce, be surprised if you got that.

He wasn't dealt for Laine years ago, spare parts aren't going to get him now when he's better

I wouldn't call a young cost controlled RHD with 2+ seasons under his belt and a top prospect who was a 1st round pick in '22 "spare parts". Especially with it being rumored that Carolinas ownership may not be willing to pay him.

Id give a first with conditions and Ostlund would be removed.

But I'd have to think if they didnt get a first at the draft, it's not happening.

You'd essentially be getting two firsts if Ostlund is included, and you're just not going to get much of a return.

First and a high prospect is the price if he’s moved. They can just keep him or look elsewhere. BUF isn’t only one bidding.

Carolina's willing to pay him, so you clearly don't even know the rumor huh... Carolina don't want to commit long term over the age of 30, they do this for all players. The 6 mil he wants they'll pay, that's been the case for almost anyone over the years.

And if you want to talk about players that were top prospects not being spare parts, how about Joki for Ryan Suzuki? May as well... stop.

Todays 32 Thoughts Podcast "Pesce and Carolina aren’t close on contract talks, but that the player is prepared to play out the year and see where things go."

Ostlund is the top prospect I am referencing you, nice try though bud.

If they were willing to sign him to that we wouldn't be talking about this. Still think he signs, but if he doesn't I am looking forward to seeing what Carolina gets. Make it even more fun to see your posts.

What does Laine have anything to do with the landscape of the NHL right know. Not many teams have Money and there's a lot of players hitting the market. If Pesce does decide not to sign a extension I would be highly surprised if you got more than this, maybe a late 1st and prospect.
