All true but you can get good PK players dfor $1M a year. Also you have cap space until you don't anymore because of those kind of deals...

Gudas actually puts up good defensive and PK metrics though. If you check out Gudbranson on HockeyViz he's been ROUGH for quite a while. Gudas on the other hand really locks down his own zone.

Yeah, we paid a heavy tax to come to CA as a UFA, the deal is probably 1M AAV more than he is really worth, but that 1M wont hurt us the next three years.

Something else that hasn't been discussed yet is the Ducks crop of promising LHD prospects entering the AHL and NHL this season.

I can't think of a better baby sitter for Zellweger than the Butcher.

This was a battle of wills all day from former Wings.

Verbeek and Yzerman grit was never questioned. Neither would let the other overpay bad to very average dmen without getting their own say!

Man this contract sucks. I earn, Gouda’s is playing relatively well right now but he is still just a 3rd pairing defender. He’s getting up there in age as well. Solid p,Ayer all around but that’s way to much for a 3rd pairing defender.
