These trades are all bad for Buffalo. The Carolina deal does not make sense for us anymore. Clearly Adams thinks he has addressed the woes on the right-side with Clifton and EJ. We shall see about that. Just doesn't make sense to bring in another RHD. Samuelsson is not a bottom-pairing guy. He will be Dahlin's partner. Stillman is depth for us, would be a poor decision to trade depth away. Olofsson with 50% retention should bring us better than a 2025 2nd and Tampa wouldn't be the team to offer us that, they have 0 cap space. Murray will not waive for Buffalo and is not a good option, he will just get injured leaving us with the same trio sharing the net.

As Sabres fans we hope that the additions on D prove their worth and that the depth we now have up-front and on the blueline helps us keep the puck out of our net better. Goaltending will not be much improved over next year. When Levi starts we will have a leg up, but doubtful he is ready to handle more than 40ish games. The other 40 games are in the hands of Comrie and UPL so we will see how that goes

I just want Pesce. The Murray deal is 99% not gonna happen, just thought it would be nice to have a vet for Levi and UPL. You're not wrong about Murrays injury concerns though. Also, only traded Stillman because of the abundance of D.
