Sabres don't need beauvillier. With the Sabres signing Erik Johnson and Clifton, Lyubushkin might shake loose, but really no interest in beauvillier

He can take the spot Quinn is missing out on until he comes back and then move down the lineup after. Its 1 year, very little risk involved. Its not an uninteresting notion if they can move olofsson's deal.

My very first thought is why would Buffalo do that trade. I could not find an answer.

Its not an uninteresting notion if they can move olofsson's deal. Could keep them both and actually have solid forward depth, especially if Greenway reverts to his 2022-'23 performace level.

While this would trade one of Buffalo's RHD, the return is remarkable.
He has had four seasons with 18 or more goals and one with 25 goals in just 47 games.

I came here to say the same thing
BUT
If we are just giving up a guy that’s gonna sit in the press box most nights,
then it actually does make some sense

Most Sabres fans seem to think we are just gonna keep plugging in young talent & they’re gonna do great for us,
but there’s value in developing some of these guys more slowly & bringing in a solid Vet to help us make a playoff run

I’m fine with this trade after thinking about it for a second
Especially if it moves Greenway down the lineup or into the pressbox
