Goodrow trade is absurd, Rangers don't even consider it. And there is zero chance they break up the Fox/Lindy pairing.

They should at least experiment Lindgren with Trouba lol Fox and Lindgren is an elite pair but after them the bottom pairs are average at best

Can't agree with that. Fox/Lindy works because they know each other so well and complement each other's play style. Breaking them up would be very silly IMO. Trouba and Miller are a solid pair as well and another year together will only make them better plus K'Andre will continue to improve. And putting Lindy with Schneider on the 3rd pair is crazy.

Yea and then when Lindgren gets hurt, the whole defense goes into shambles because there’s no backup plan

Besides Lindgren is going to cost too much to bring back when his contact ends. I love Lindgren but you can find another one of him in the draft or free agency. He’s only valuable because of his chemistry with fox

No guarantee that they can find someone like that, and since him and Fox are the same age, they should do whatever they can to try retain Lindgren even if they have to overpay. Nothing wrong with experimenting though in case it proves to be too difficulty to keep him around.

Even so, Miller is the future top pair LD. So he should be up there playing with fox

It doesn’t hurt to experiment because maybe Lindgren and Trouba would be a great pair too

Yeah, I don't disagree with that. Plus, should always have a backup plan especially since cap flexibility isn't something that the Rangers will have any time soon.

I think Trouba would thrive with someone more defensive minded than Miller. Fox pretty much has shown he can play with anyone in my opinion

I would accept that offer as the Anaheim GM because I think that the second and Jones could be useful to us, but we'd have to have another final destination to pass Goodrow on to because I'd be willing to bet my car that Anaheim is one of the 15 teams on his no-trade list.

If Lindy is hurt they will adapt. They did last year with a guy like Mikkola, so Miller should have little problem adjusting and working with Fox. And I don't think Lindy's next deal will be all that much higher than it is now and the cap will be increasing.

Lindgren will not be an issue to resign.... it's not like he's a top pair defenseman anywhere else. Being Fox's partner is what makes him valuable. He will not be able to command a problem contract.
4 yr 16 mil is my limit.
I like Lingren, but honestly, on most rosters he's a 4/5 dman. Not big enough to clear crease, not great skater, also no offensive upside to speak of. He's a good defenseman above average at most defensive skills. Average to below average offensively.
