St Louis doesn't want to trade parayko

If I'm the Leafs I don't want to trade for parayko. He's good now, but he has already started to decline and that contract will be a boat anchor

I'd rather keep Brodie and Nylander.

Brodie is better defensively than Parayko and on a much better contract. Outside of getting a bit more physical and more big slap shots from the blue line, this makes the team all around worse. If we’re really targeting a defenceman like this, Weegar is a much better option

Agreed Weegar would be an ideal partner for Reilly. But it will be hard to pry him out of Calgary. Maybe they consider if Nylander agrees to an extension. Without it, it would be quite difficult. The Leafs would have to blow the Flames away to move him.

I still think Oleksiak in Seattle is a good target, on a good contract (noting Parayko has 7 years left vs. 3 for Oleksiak). Oleksiak can play either side like Brodie. I would be looking at this if I was Treliving.

My thinking is that Brodie is up at the end of the year and I don't see him Resigning. Parsayko is signed up and with the cap going up it might be a decent contract. I think it's a fair deal now.

Parayko is not available, and they cannot afford/don't really need Willy.

Dude. If you think Parayko is more physical than Brodie, then you don't actually know much at all about Parayko. IJS.

I mean if the blues can flip Nylander to a 3rd team for a good young defensemen than sure but other than that we don't really have a need for Nylander.

If this trade theoretically occurs and your idea theoretically occurs, I'd do it if I'm Armstrong and I can flip Nylander for Bouchard or Dobson.

Neither are very physical but Parayko does have a noticable higher amount of hits than Brodie over the last 3 seasons (222 to 134)

But Brodie is better than Parayko for this year and could be re-signed for around the same or less than what his current contract is. I don’t see why he wouldn’t re-sign
