My thought process is, the contract branny just signed more than likely means he is going to be a trade piece, and I see Chicago as a perfect place for him to get into that top4 role that he excels in, since they don't have any defensemen, especially on that left side,. right now. I thought the Nils Lundkvist trade might be a good comparable for Brannstrom in case they trade him for assets.

They do have cap to sign them both lol. You mean they won’t have cap to sign them both if you offer sheet 50% of their remaining cap

chicago has way too many LHD if branny was RHD they would consider but yea the left side is crowded

Yeah that's what I meant, since imo, Miller is gonna get atleast 4.5 million if its a bridge and 6+ long term,

He is more than capable to play on the right side as well, he preferred to play on the right side we first got him in the stone trade, but he learned to play on the left because of DJ and Dorion

Ignoring the fact that CHI has no interest in either player, why would anyone pay a 1st round pick for Brannstrom and Kelly? The Lundkvist trade was a huge overpay betting on upside, which is still TBD with him. We know what Brannstrom is.
