STEAL.
Thought he'd be looking for at least 5.5 mil in a bridge deal.

One of the best value contracts of the off season for an RFA

Don't like the term, gonna be disatrous in 2 years when NYR needs to resign him. Was thinking they would go longer term.

Eh the cap will be going up a ton and everyone else of consequence is signed past him. Plus Trouba's NMC becomes a modified no-trade. They'll be fine.

Smart move by the GM. It's unlikely that KM's offensive numbers will rise significantly over the course of this contract, w/ Fox eating up most of the best opportunities, and they can probably offer him a long term deal at not much more than it would've cost today ($6M AAV for 8 years, or thereabouts).

Kinda surprised that he was willing to sign for that low. I valued him closer to 5-5.5 million. Great signing for the Rangers as much as I hate to say it and keeps him as an RFA. Question is what will happen with Laf

This is a good deal for both parties, but at some point the Rangers are going to have to trade or let go one of their high priced players- and that defense is getting pricey.
