Also dont get me wrong Lundell is a really good player but sometimes teams are forced to move on for cap purposes. Not saying that Florida will need to, but there is a chance.

Yeah another Avs fan here to say heckin' no. JLF came close to cracking our roster last year and had some GREAT stuff in the A. His hands and speed are legit. Also Brock is old and we don't need old right now.

Brock would be syck. JLF would never get past Bednar's rookie fortress. It's successfully kept out: Jost, Kaut, and Newhook.

Avs decline. They likely won't have cap to add yet another old player, and they need to start re-stocking.

JLF ceiling is a 3rd line forward, more likely he’s a 4th liner. Brock Nelson is one of the best 5v5 goal scorers in the NHL, he a high end 2C/ low end 1C on a steal of a contract. This isn’t even enough for him

And on the Avs Nelson is a 3c/2c at best. We're not gonna part with a guy who has an NHL ceiling to get an aging player. Nelson is awesome, but he's probably got one or two more peak years left. Not logical for either team IMO.

Nelson is about 5x the player Ryan johansen in, Nelson would run away with the 2C spot .

And we got Johansen for nothing. Not gonna disagree with you that Nelson would definitely be a 2C over him, but we're still not going to trade assets for him when we have at least a serviceable player there that we got for a better value.
