Think Ottawa would say no. Forsbergs a good backup they won’t want to move him especially after last season when every goalie was getting hurt for them, rather keep the goalie depth. I don’t think Sogaard is ready to be the backup yet, but maybe mid season this deal could make more sense depending on how he does in Belleville.

I don’t think the value of Gibson is the same as 3 years ago. I’m not sure I see many teams looking for a replacement G but if they are it’s Helle at the top of the list and Gibson really doesn’t seem like he could be a top 15 these days. I get that ANA was trying to tank the last bit but even then he had few stretches of good play. This trade would need to happen after a great stretch from Gibson. Today I value both COL players over him

forsberg trade is useless. Ducks are ready for Dostal to get more and more steady time. He's 23

Avs are rolling with Georgie no matter what. 2 years younger and on a good contract for us. Girard won't be traded for anything other than cap-clearing reasons.

That’s some delusional thinking COL is doing that, they would do Georgiev for Gibson straight up.

I'm not sure I would right now. Gibson is coming off of frustrating seasons and Georgiev is coming off a career year. I want the guy rolling with a bit of confidence personally. Definitely a homer take on my part but thats what my gut is telling me.
