Pens fans have this obsession that the Sharks want Petry and that somehow the a West Coast non playoff team is on his Petry's trade list.

Sharks want Petry, Granlund and Rutta all in the same trade on top of retention because they want all the cap

Oh, now it's quite reasonable (f you're a Pens fans. Many Leaf fans are the same. Expecting to get a boatload for one year of Nylander to non playoff teams.

What are the other 7 of the 15 canadian teams he'll block ?
I mean assuming of the 7 USA teams he'll block that SJS wont be one ignore Context.
They're top 5 worst in the league just starting their rebuild and still selling assets.
No upside to Petry moving from his DET family hub when the travel with 4x the travel time.

If it was that easy MTL woulda found a better trade partner then PIT
While Matheson had 25 good games in the season he was injured 4 times including a currently active injury
Well as bad as Petry maybe viewed he's more consistent and has the toughness for a playoff run Matheson never had.
