Point is the Leafs don't have any NHL capable Dmen with the Marlies. Gotta think Timmins would be claimed in put on waivers.

Then you can send one of gambrell/lafferty/robertson down and start Timmins on the roster. Problem solved.

Hawks decline. If that's all it took to dump Murray, he wouldn't still be a Leaf.

What makes you look at Chicago and think, yeah they’ll take on our 5m dollar cap dump for the next couple years and it will only cost us a couple nothing picks? Chicago says no in a heartbeat and blocks your number

We need more players (22/23 roster ideal, I don't want the same thing to happen with waivers again with everyone getting taken from us.)

Josh Bailey. One year left. $5m cap hit. $3.5m actual salary. Hawks got a 2nd. Murray is owed $6m in actual salary ($4.6m cap hit). And Hawks don't need a goalie. How does Murray cost LESS to dump?
