I think your trade description is off a bit.

I think you meant: Leafs give up - Nylander, Murray and Robertson. Leafs get Pesce (50% retained) and 2nd round pick.

I assume Canes say no. But it is close.

The team you created here looks VERY good by the way. They would be a serious problem for other teams.

I'm not sure we would have room for Robertson in our forward depth. Change the 2nd to a 3rd and maybe we get a decent prospect in return?

The OP did get Backlund and Konecny here as well. Plus Bert and Domi. This top 9 is severely good. Adding Pesce would make our D corp top notch as well. All 3 pairs are very good and we have Gio as well.

Pretty sure they have the Canes giving a 1st and Pesce, this seems pretty terrible for Carolina to me but maybe I'm misunderstanding it.

Backlund is getting up there, and Konecny had good points last year but he also had some really bad underlying numbers. Extremely poor defensively last year, was bottom 5 league wide at one point. He's a fine player sure but I think people don't realize just how much offence runs through Nylander. He's one of the best in the entire league at controlled zone entries. He's an elite play driver and no one replacing him comes close to being that. In fact they all need a Nylander to really shine. Bertuzzi very well could have a big season in TO but if he somehow finds his way down the lineup, his offence will dry up. If you have a Nylander, you really can't replace him without a high draft pick.

Fair yea not fully sure what the tinker would be but seems like a pretty minor issue and that we’re in the ballpark here
