Is BOS expecting a huge turn around in 2025 to do something like this, because otherwise that pick becomes unprotected and if the Bruins are a 10th worst team next year...why would they be much better the following?

I mean, I understand the concept, but the Avalanche had a 23yr old MacKinnon, 22yr Rantanen, 20yr old Makar....they had a young core. The Bruins...do not. The Avalanche didn't change based on free agency from cap room, they had a core. Not saying you agree, but the ones who think this is at al a plan really aren't looking for many similarities.

Yea, having Pasta, Marchand, that defense, and Swayman alone...with just avg players beyond that....they are still better than CHI, ANA, SJS, MTL, PHI, CBJ, WSH, OTT, VAN and honestly still even DET in my view.
