A DeBrusk trade that doesn't start with a 1st will never be considered. 1st, 3rd, B+ Prospect at minimum. And he's not really available. Also, you're stuck with DeSmith, he's a good deadline deal though

Habs pass. Rutta = Kovacevic but Kovy is cheaper. Nylander and a fourth doesn’t make up the difference. I would consider Nylander for Pitlick and a third + fourth for Kovacevic.

Actually there will be team that will shown interest in Kovacevic at the deadline for sur. At that amount for 2 year he is a attractive pieces. Probably could land a 3rd round pick. Salary cap space is so much valuable. There not enough consideration for this aspect of trading asset. Same thing for Pitlick who showed that he is a reliable and versatile forward. Probably a fourth round pick maybe a 3rd long shot.

speculation from a bruins writer that jake debrusk trade rumors could be on the rise again. won’t be surprised if it takes over this app soon

100% agrees with that Kovacevic statement.

But you can't translate demand for stable depth defensive defenseman to a diminutive fringe winger. Not as usefull for playoffs hockey, thus not as valuable.
