Description
I’m likely out to lunch but…
The Calgary trade feels like a bit of an overpayment but… I doubt flames fans will be happy about it.
Pesce probably doesn’t sign here but it’s an elite top pair with 44. And stylistically I can’t imagine a better fit.
Pionk to Detroit is random. Really the deal could be anywhere for any pick. I think he gets a 2nd as a puck moving pp qb type.
55 to Arizona - they need to create some buzz for their fan base to approve a new arena. They have some very good wingers and really need an offensive C. Hayton fits the group coming together in WIN.
Appleton to CHi could be anywhere. Need the cap space and he’s a replaceable player.
Anyway, just some ideas. Thanks for checking it out.

You can save the retention on the Detroit trade, we don't need it. We have a full roster but I think we could make room for Pionk.
I'm going to say that it is likely a very good chance Pesce, Hanifin and Hellebuyck will likely sign in the states. Seems like majority of Americans do.
Perfetti contract is massive, he hasn't earned that yet. Maybe if he takes a massive step this season.
Arizona doesn't consider. Scheifele will be a rental and Stanley and Harkins are worthless. Hayton just had a breakout year, no chance he gets moved. Arizona also has Cooley in the system. I don't think Scheifele would cause enough buzz to take convince fans to all of a sudden support the Coyotes.

Center depth isn't looking all that good and Delia is a rather a third goalie imo, D looks great though.
And Perfetti needs a bit of a breakout year for that signing.

Agreed. I used Ehlers Scheifele and KFC as precedent here. By year 2 this deal Looks like a steal! By year 5, grand larceny!
I think Delia will surprise some people this year.

agree on AZ; Scheifele is solid 1C but they not dumping Hayton (RFA still) after the second half he had last year.

Why would Jets give up a first and more for any expiring contract Hanifan? You really think Hanifan is going to sign a contract with the Jets? Really?

Well you gave them one and took one. They don't really gain want NHL players here.

Where was this when Yzerman signed Holl? I'd much rather have Pionk.
