Yeah, I knew that it was a stretch, but Toronto didn’t have the right picks. I deleted signing.

It is pure delusion if you think you can drop those two contracts on Anaheim without paying a significant price, nevermind receiving a pick, even as insignificant as a 7th round pick may be.

They get Brodie for nothing and could flip both at the deadline for a lot of assets specifically Brodie would would get a 1st plus. Savard, Chariot, etc etc Brodie is better than a lot of guys who's brought back big returns.

Fortunately (I hope) the Leafs management can't be that dumb to think trading Brodie, let alone dumping him, without a similar replacement coming back is insanity. He is the best defensive player on the team
