Remove Brodie and Tanev from the deal. Calgary only has so much cap space and no reason to downgrade

That's the cost for this one, whether you decide to accept is up to you

Seems pointless to demand. The difference between Brodie and Tanev is pretty much just the cap hit. Otherwise they are nearly identical in what they provide (Tanev slightly better). If the cap doesn't work for Calgary then Calgary would decline. I would rather add a mid round pick than be forced to make more trades to be cap compliant

You suggested Hanifin + Dube for Nylander + Timmins to me. If you're willing to make that trade and acknowledge the only difference between Brodie and Tanev is the $0.5 mil cap hit, then how is a $0.5 mil cap hit enough to change your mind from a trade you first offered?

Liligren > Peeke, no reason for leafs to make this move & absolutely no reason they add 🤦🏻

Lily is hugely overrated by Leafs fans. Their value is probably about even but I added the 4th to avoid argument from CBJ fans

A few reasons.
1. Personal preference
2. 500k is not nothing, you've constructed your team above with 27.5k extra cap space and no scratches. That should be proof enough
3. Too much change is not a good thing, this trade is already moving out at least 1 core player from both sides. Making it 2 core players leads to lack of chemistry (that was a huge reason in Calgary's struggles last year and with the return of Kylington Tanev is at least be a guy who he has already proven to work well with)

Columbus isn't moving out RD just to bring another one in. Peeke is probably available, but not for this deal. As early as this coming New Years, Jiricek is pushing for a spot, and Liljegren isn't playing over him or Severson in the lineup. In those terms, Peeke is likely to stay and play third pair, pushing Gudbranson to seventh D where he belongs.

Liljegren > Peeke.

If we're looking at pure value the Jackets should accept, but it doesn't make sense to move out a RD just to bring back a RD. Peeke for a 2nd straight up would probably get it done, or Peeke + 2024 2nd for 2024 1st since Toronto doesn't have a 2nd. CBJ need quality over quantity, so I couldn't see something like Peeke for a 3rd and a 4th working.

Pretty fair offer for the Avs but just like Calgary they are up against the cap and would have to find another move to make this one work.

I was just too lazy to go through another 3 team trade.
