I do like Kupari and thought Van should have targeted him while at LA when they had 'excess' of RFAs.

Not sure about Lybushkin. I'd rather keep Myers than do a swap with SJ.

My gripe with your lineup is Foligno is a big step down from Garland outside size, nasty and leadership. So, I'd rather see Beau stick around (vs both Garland and Beau gone) with JT and Pod start in Abby. But Pearson, Kupari and Foligno is a really good bottom 6 line.

There's no incentive for Winnipeg to consider that.

Why would the Jets trade a solid bottom-6er who they just acquired and who has the potential to become a nice top-9 winger, for a fringe NHLer at best?

I doubt the Sabers are going to trade for a rental winger if they need a fill in the Rochester with a handful of egar prospects.

Idk, i could see it with Quinn’s injury
Besides, look what we are giving up in this trade- essentially our own “rental”

They still have Olofsson who they can use in Quinn’s place instead of giving up anything.

Sure
But we are gonna have to get rid of a couple defensemen anyways

I wouldn’t be surprised if they used the free roster spot on one of the extra defenders so they don’t have to waive one immediately. But eventually they likely waive or trade at least one.

Well we currently have 9 “nhl” defensemen
23 man roster
-12 forwards
-6 defensemen
-2 goalies

That means 3 open spots
They aren’t all going to those extra 3 defensemen
Usually carry at least 1 extra forward
And right now, it even looks like we are gonna carry 3 goalies

They may carry three goalies, but they won’t carry an extra forward if they’re going to carry another extra defenseman instead. Which is something they would do to avoid losing anyone on waivers.

If they carry 3 goalies,
That means they can only carry 8 defensemen (with no extra forwards)
So at minimum, 1 defenseman will still have to go

This is pretty simple math, lol

Should be a 2nd attached with Lyubushkin, not a 4th

Sure, but it’s probably a guy like Bryson that gets waived and not claimed because of his salary. So they wouldn’t lose anyone.

Maybe, maybe not
What i said at the BEGINNING is still true-
we have to get rid of some defensemen
Even if it’s just to Rochester

We can’t carry 9,
and if we carry 3 goalies (seems likely),
then we probably only carry 7 defensemen

Lyubushkin's stock isn't high enough to have a legitimate valuation say

And rental wingers don’t go to teams who don’t need them for a 2nd

I think you might wanna double check the Sabres roster. They're not exactly keen on keeping all of their wingers as is

What are u talking about?
We have all the forwards we need
ESPECIALLY with Kulich, Savoie & Rousek ALL looking “NHL ready”

Kulich and Savoie aren't NHL ready, and Rousek likely spends a chunk of the season in the press box if he stays with the big club

Based on what
EXACTLY how many AHL games did u watch Kulich & Rousek in?

And Savoie is entering his draft year +2 season
Most top10 picks are ready by them, and keeping him in juniors again isn’t gonna do much more for his development
He’s (at the very least) on the borderline

Hey man, I'm not saying those guys, particularly Rousek and Kulich, don't deserve a shot at roster spots out of camp, I just don't think it's smart to put all your eggs in the baskets of multiple spring chickens(or chicks) in the hopes of being ready to make an everyday impact with no prior sample size. As for Savoie, I don't see him playing any higher than 3C if he makes the team

1C is Thompson
2C is Cozens
And Savoie wouldn’t even be 3C, that’s Mittelstadt or Krebs
Savoie most likely starts on the wing

U don’t seem to know much about our lineup dude….

Idk what holes in our forward group u think we “NEED” to fill,
but we are in very good shape and plenty deep
We wouldn’t be dependent on ANY of those young kids playing anything more than a limited role where they’d be sheltered

Sabres still lack defensive IQ on the back end, adding Clifton and Johnson doesn't suddenly fix that. Secondly, don't tell me they actually want to keep Victor Olofsson around. Girgenson's extension, even though it's only for 1 year, is still a headscratcher. Jordan Greenway playing as high as 3LW does NOT equate to plentiful depth

Jfc, you’re all over the place now

Just bc some clowns on here think we are gonna dump Olofsson, doesn’t mean we don’t value a 25+ goal scorer

Our coach has history with Greenway & likes him,
although i could do without him

Girgs wears an “A” for a reason- good 2way player & leader for us- same with Okposo

And idk what Beauvillier has to do with fixing our SUPPOSED lack of defensive IQ on the backend????

Pick a lane & stay in it
Actually, nvmd, just get off at the next exit
