That $5M in cap space will likely all be spent on Frederic and Swayman.

Good point. I've included Frederic in the deal now. Makes more sense for Winnipeg too as the get an NHL ready body who can play Center. There's enough cap left to sign Swayman to a bridge deal.

Who else you got? Winnipeg doesn't need anymore LD.

400k is enough for a bridge deal?

No from Winnipeg. There isn't anything there worth moving a retained 1C for.

Agreed, but have to move him eventually. Just cannot let him walk for free. This may just be the best offer that comes around. Hopefully not, but who knows.

Hell no, keep Scheifele away from the Bruins. Guy is overrated and helped destroy the Winnipeg locker room.

I don't know. I think he'll resign actually. At the deadline there's an outside chance this might be good enough, unlikely but possible, but it's not getting a retained 1C that Boston desperately needs for a full season.

I see you commenting the same thing on every post did scheif screw your sister or something? You clearly have no clue about the Jets dressing room 😂

He's been a leader in that locker room for 7yrs. He and his buddy Wheeler were running the show and it got so bad they stripped Wheeler of his "C" and bought him out a year later. Laine after being traded did an interview and said that Scheifele and Wheeler made things difficult for him and talked about him behind his back. Wheeler even admitted that he could have handled things with Laine better. Scheifele on the other hand didn't say anything, but that's kind of his MO. Like the time he was bench vs Carolina and then refused to talk to the media after the game.

So the captain and assistant captain were friends, linemates and lead the room? 😅 Solid argument. Funny that Laine was the one who was traded

So you really don't have a counter point to any of it because there really isn't one and instead just try and generalize my post. Of course Laine was traded. Laine wanted out of Winnipeg so why wouldn't they trade him. He wanted out because how Scheifele and Wheeler treated him.

Funny is that you want to downplay Laine being treated like ****, Wheeler being stripped of his C and then bought out, Helly doesn't want to re-sign and PLD wasn't going to re-sign with WPG. When they stripped Wheeler of the C, why didn't they name a new Captain? Why not just give it to your stud #1C who was your first pick when you returned to Winnipeg? Maybe because he's part of the problem in Winnipeg sarcasm
