The Flames and Bruins might make that deal it looks pretty close to fair IMO

I don't see NJD making that trade, Mercer is a big part of their future and Vladar doesn't really improve their goaltending, Hanafin doesn't help the defense enough to justify this trade IMO

Depending on if you consider Lysell a 1st round value prospect or not, if you upgrade the 2nd to a 1st it's not that crazy IMO

I don't value him very highly at all, so I guess you're right. Lysell hasn't really produced highly at any level, I don't think Boston has the assets to trade for Lindy

Fair, his stats are definitely not eye popping but, I've heard good things

Lindholm will cost more, Lysell doesn't have the value you think he does.

Frankly I don't the Bruins have the assets to pull the trigger, Flames are not rebuilding if you listen to their new GM

Yeah, but for an undersized skill player you would like to see elite production and he's been mediocre in both junior and the AHL. I doubt Lysell becomes an NHL player honestly

I definitely get what you're saying but, almost 0.7PPG in the AHL for a 20yr old isn't too bad, I think he'll play some games but, you're right unless something improves he'll have a hard time carving out a spot in the NHL

Mercer is hopefully going to stick around for another 6-9 years in Jersey. Maybe in a Lindholm deal it would be possible, but with Hughes, Hischier…I don’t see NJD as right partner for Lindholm trade.

Vladar for mid pick maybe…Daws is hurt, so we may look to add a depth goalie

The best semi-realistic package I can think of, based on how the Flames operate, would be Debrusk, Lohrei and a 2025 1st. And even that I kind of hate because you're waiting 2 years for a late 1st and Debrusk is UFA next summer

Mercer for Hanifin is not happening, period. Just doesn't make any sense from the Devils' POV

I mean Lindholm and DeBrusk are both pending UFAs but, I see what you're saying. I think Calgary should play out the year, last year was bad but, the team is good and should make the playoffs, then guys like Lindholm and Backlund might want to stay.
Hanafin wants to go to the US but, finding a good return might be hard, I'd probably play the year and role the dice on a playoff run

I think Lindholm and Backlund are both likely to be on the opening night roster, but if they haven’t re-signed by the deadline then both players need to be traded regardless of where the team is in the standings. That’s what they should do, but the Flames have historically been allergic to making the right long-term moves lol

Bruins are in! Lohrei will replace gryz, might need some salary retention though
