Bruins don't the cap probably for that trade. Certainly Jersey doesn't do the trade for one year of Hanifan. Please don't make resigning hopes as part of the trade.

Deal would have to be a sign and trade 1 for 1 between Hanifin and Mercer.

Mercer is already a solid top 6 player and is super young.

i don’t think it’s a move we are looking to make

But,
it would free Krebs up to move off of our defensive line,
and onto a line where he could be more of a 2way center instead of just focusing on the tough defensive assignments
So it could make sense for us in that way

In Fantasy GM land, i think I’d do it
In reality, i think it’s an intriguing possibility
