Description

Overpay Tatar to fill maximize our 4 lines ever more! Also, brings back a familiar face. Trade away Veleno for a RD prospect as I just don't see him in Detroit's future with the amount of C's we have. Don't get me wrong I like Veleno and his work ethic, he just doesn't work. Gave some options in players to look for. If not playoff bound, can retain on Tatar and trade him.

From MN I'd give you Addison as a RD, but not Faber or Spacek. Some of it is cap (MN can't afford both Addison and Veleno), and some of it is I like Faber and Spacek better.

I'd be okay with Addison, it is just we can't fit him in our line-up so he'd just sit there all year until an injury arose.

No motivation for the Jackets to trade Ceulemans right now unless he's part of a package to get a top 6C. Veleno would be a very redundant bottom 6er on the Jackets.

It's pretty much what Addison is going to do in MN too (maybe he's the 6D/pp specialist). Faber is already ahead of him on the depth chart.

This really is a trade that needed to happen before DET signed every d-man with a pulse in FA.
