right, fair. Someone would take that deal I'm not too worried, just needed to move him to get just barely under the cap

Where are all the ignoramuses stating they knew more than Elliot Friedman that Murray couldn't go on LTIR?

The bigger question is....what is the length of stay on LTIR for Murray?

Remember the Leafs paid 5.25m X 5 years for to acquire Horton's non insured (LTIR) contract from Columbus, That's 27.5m.....10m is nothing. I just wonder if Murray can stay on LTIR all season.
Put me down as someone who does not believe in fake injuries or LTIR to save a teams cap.

10M in one season alone though. Contracts are probably insured a large amount but still no small chunk of change for one season alone.

MLSE was probably wondering how to spend 10m.....now that Babcock's contract has expired. nod
The Leafs have a history of buying out contracts due to incompetence of their GMs,

After officially announcing Murray to LTIR - you still think the guy is faking? I know the people that run the nhl are jokes but even they are not that stupid. Murray must be injured; maybe he’s looking at a surgery or the concussion symptoms won’t let him play. Point is we’re past the point where we speculate if he’s faking or not

I was just making a general statement, not referring to Murray specifically.. In a post a just made, I wrote
"On a personal note, it is sad that if Murray is truly injured and can't continue his career."
Folks kinda laughed when DiPetrio of the Isles was on LTIR for the rest of his career and the I believe the Isles still owed him over 55m. You can be sure the DiPetrio would have preferred to play and long as possible in the NHL and "earn" his money.

Agreed, then - sorry for jumping to conclusions. Leafs released no details so we don’t know injury, timeline, etc but at the very least rival fans can stop saying he is faking.

No need to trade him, just bury him and hope no one claims him. If they do then, oh well, but he provides more value than those picks.

Just a note....the Leafs can't put Murray on LTIR., The NHL has to approve any LTIR....that a player is unfit to play.
Yeah, I know it "looks" shady, but fan/reporters don't know....That's between the Murray and the doctors.

Thanks for the "sorry". But no need to be. I enjoy your honest comments , you're a fine contributor to CF.
