Matt Murray is on LTIR. Remember when you said he couldn't go on LTIR?

Congratulations for being right.

Maybe you should listen to Elliot Friedman next time instead of believing you know more than an NHL insider.

Who cares. 2024 draft class is fairly weak. Picks in the mid teens range would be early 2nd round picks in the 2023 class.

It is a weak class comparatively, though, coping or not. Still hard to count Boston completely out considering their top-4 and tandem are some of the best in the league.

I don't like it when someone acts conceited about knowing more than they do and then refuses to admit they were ignorantly wrong.

Doesn't matter even if both Detroit and Boston miss the playoffs. The pick you get won't be anywhere near as valuable as the 7th Overall you gave up originally. Boston will absolutely regress but will still be a contender for the playoffs, I still bet they make it as a wildcard, Detroit will progress and will be a contender for the playoffs, I would bet they come close but just miss, likely in the 85-90 pts range. Neither will be a bottom 10 team unless they suffer significant injuries. That pick at best will be around 15th Overall and it's coming in a weaker draft. The top 5-6 of 2024 is very good but then the chances to find an impact player drops off big time.

Drop all the LOOOOOL's and cry face emoji's you want. Hiding behind those LOOOOL's is a method of coping with the fact Ottawa totally flubbed on Alex DeBrincat and they are a worse team heading into 2023-2024 than they were heading into 2022-2023. Detroit improved, Buffalo improved. Ottawa regressed.

I admitted I was wrong just now.

By congratulating you.

I'm sorry that isn't enough for you but I guess nothing ever is.

Have a nice day.

Common SpaceMan L . Debrincat is gonna help u guys let in more goals against than for. I was hoping for someone like Mark Stone when we got him but the truth is he couldn’t carry a line , he was a PP merchant and everytime Stutzle fed him for open nets , he’d hit the post or miss the net. He won’t have anyone as good as Stutzle in Detroit so good luck with him 😂

You know nothing about hockey if you think they’re worse. He’s not a 1st liner by any means, couldn’t feast against 2nd line competition

I thought you said Detroit would just sign DeBrincat as a UFA for free next year and that Ottawa would get nothing but hurt feelings.

I am currently watching two people in a 🌭 showing contest, and someone contrast what they were preaching pre-DeBrincat trade.

What a website.

I still stand by that. They would have if Ottawa refused to accept the below market value offer Detroit gave them. He would have signed his QO at 9 million. They would have been forced to deal him at the deadline at 50% retained to a top contender as a pure rental as any team acquiring him knows he wont sign long term. His return would be crap, a late 1st for Ottawa at best. he would have then signed in Detroit as a UFA. He was very adamant that he only wanted Detroit long term. it was happening either way. Steve saw an opportunity to get him in the fold this season though instead of waiting for next and only had to give up the Boston 1st which he acquired for Bertuzzi. in essence, he turned Tyler Bertuzzi into Alex Debrincat and only had to give up Kubalik who had fallen out of favour with the coaching staff and Sebrango who is a career AHL Dman.

Amazing how garbage you now say he is but that you and every sens fan thought he was worth Berggren + 17 overall +++ and called out wings fans who said they won't get Cat without these pieces clueless, delusional idiots who know nothing about hockey for weeks tears of joy

Anytime Sens fans gloating about how that 1st is gonna be a lottery pick is a good time to remind them they are actually worse off because of DeBrincat. and remind them they got nowhere near what they though they deserved for Debrincat. Most Sens fans, including csick, thought they were getting the 17th overall (2023) + Berggren + a 2nd, some even thought they should get 9th Overall (2023) + Berggren + a 2nd. The worse of BOS/DET pick won't be as good as the 7th Overall in 2022. Kubalik isn't that great. He might pop 15 -20 in but he'll be bottom six in Ottawa by end of season. Then likely gone as a UFA. Sebrango ain't making the NHL as a full time player. He'll bounce back and forth between AHL and NHL at best. Doubt he makes 100 career games.

But that pick is gonna be a lottery pick baby 🔥 tears of joy

I'm not disagreeing with you. I certainly think the coping/backtrackinf from Sens fans is hilarious.

If both Detroit and Boston win the lottery, the world is ending.

I didn't see that many Sens fans go overboard with their asks on a DeBrincat return

I personally first proposed Kubalik + NYI 1st + 3rd, which was actually very close
