Considering he's probably not taking the #1 spot away from Anderson, this is a big overpayment. Condon is a great backup, but very few (if any) backup goalies are worth this much. However, if they expect Anderson to retire soon, then yeah, this is a good investment. Otherwise, it's not.

Condon's a great backup goalie who has been a starter before. That being said, he's almost surely not going to take the starting role away from Anderson. Good goalie, but not as good of a signing.

I guess Hammond is heading for Hamburger Hill to end up the meat in the Big Macs smile. As much as I like Gary Carter having his Bday as your GAA is never good for anybody NHL or otherwise wink. This seems like a fair gamble on a player they feel can at least be a quality backup if nothing else. I was never a huge fan of him, though for the years/salary it seems to be a fair signing like a C+.

Seems excessive in term and cap hit for a dime-a-dozen backup. Unless they see him as the successor to Anderson, and soon, I don't get this one.

Better than Hammond, could even have the potential to replace Anderson as starter, so this isnt bad at all.
